Who We Are
The Nature Conservancy is a leading global conservation organization working in over 70 countries with a vision to create a world where nature and people thrive. Our priorities are focused on tackling climate change and conserving healthy lands, waters and oceans. In Europe we work with governments, corporations and the finance sector to drive globally relevant strategies in Europe and from Europe through programs, partnerships and policy advocacy for transformational conservation impact. We manage a portfolio of strategically important conservation work in Europe that contributes to our global conservation agenda and accelerates conservation impact in Asia and the Pacific, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America and North America. We work collaboratively and across political aisles, geographic borders and sectors with multiple and diverse stakeholders and decision makers and are often seen as a trusted advisor and convenor in our work with governments, business leaders, individuals and institutions.
Our Presence in Europe
The Nature Conservancy has an office presence in three key European hubs—Berlin, London and Brussels. From these locations, TNC manages active relationships with governments, corporations, foundations, science institutions and philanthropists across the continent including in Germany, UK, Norway, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Italy and the European Union. In addition, our conservation work also touches down in the Southeastern European countries of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Montenegro.
The Nature Conservancy in Europe program is led by Marianne Kleiberg, a seasoned leader at TNC with over two decades of leadership in Europe, the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. TNC Europe program has nearly 30 staff from 12 nationalities, all with international work experience.
